  • Scouting For Food Saturday 9-10:30 AM (parent drivers needed)

Saturday from 9 to 10:30 AM the TROOP will be dropping off Scouting for Food bags at houses. We need about 6 drivers who will drop off scouts. Scouts will place a bag in each door and then move to next house.

This is a good community service for scouts in hard times like this.

Meet at Burlingame's before 9 AM for donuts, cider (922 Dickson, Rochester Hills) This is located off Livernois, South of Avon, turn east on Dressler (across from skating rink), turn left on Downhill, turn left on Dickson and about 4 houses up on left. If scouts are dropped off they can be picked up after 10:30, unless they are going on High Adventure hike.

  • Hiking this Weekend -- Gear List & Sign-Up Reminder

    Attention Scouts:

This weekend's weather is expected to be at least party sunny and in the mid 50's ... perfect for hiking.   I have received a few more responses so we have a solid crew.  If you haven't contacted me please do so right away as I need a final count.

Attached is the recommended gear list.

    Thanks !

  • Popcorn/Magazine Voucher Sales: On the brink of earning a bonus!

We are only a couple hundred dollars away from increasing our sales 5% from last year's totals. When (if) we make that threshold, the Scouts will earn an additional 2% bonus (on top of the 2% bonus for the Troop meeting all their deadlines).

One way we can increase our sales is to sell MAGAZINE VOUCHERS!

If anyone (even if you didn't sell popcorn) is interested in purchasing Time Magazine vouchers in the amount of $10 or $20, please e-mail Amy at Karlzmom@aol.com before noon on this Thursday 10/30!  OR SIMPLY REPLY TO THIS EMAIL.

The vouchers would make great holiday gifts.  The $10 vouchers allow you to purchase a "taste" of a magazine subscription (usually 6 issues), but the $20 vouchers allow you a full year's subscription in most cases.

There are many very popular magazines included in the voucher program.  And they are EASY -- the customer fills out their information on the form, chooses the magazine they want, and mails it back to TIME. Once you complete the transaction, there is no additional follow-up needed from the Scout.   Remember - vouchers are included for prizes, so for every $10 you sell, $3 (plus bonus money of .40) will be put into your Scout account for you to use on campouts!   Thank you,Amy SchusterTroop 125 Popcorn Chairperson

    P.S.

REPLY! TAKE ACTION! IT'S A GOOD THING! DO IT NOW BEFORE YOU DELETE AND FORGET

  • Scouting for Food: Drop off bags 11/1, Pick up Food 11/8

Troop 125 continues its long-standing support of this national "good turn" by distributing food collection bags on Saturday November 1st. The food we collect benefits Rochester area families

On Saturday November 8th, Troop 125 collects, sorts and delivers food to our local area Food Pantry, operated by the First Congregational Church on Pine Street. The Food Pantry is administered by the Rochester Area Neighborhood House. The Food Pantry provides emergency food for families in our immediate area who are struggling to feed themselves or their children.

We need adult drivers to support this effort

Please check in with Bill Burlingame on Saturday morning. Why not grab a cup of coffee and a donut and volunteer your driving services for the morning? It's another way for the Scouts to show they are truly committed to helping other people at all times.

    Bag Distribution: Sat Nov 1st: 9am - Sat Nov 3 10:30am

    Food Pickup: Sat, Nov 8th, 9:00am - 11:30am

    LOCATION:

    Burlingame's House

Dickson is off Livernois, South of Avon (the sub across from the skating rink)

  • Final call for T125 Pic's for CoH

November 1 is the cut-off for including T125 pictures in the November Court of Honor photo show.  As editor, I will be unable to include photos that I do not have by then.  You can contact me directly to arrange to deliver pictures or see Mr. Schuster who will get them to me. Kent McCormick

  • POPCORN SALE REMINDERS

Popcorn order forms for Option #2 (Take-order) are due at the Tuesday, October 21st meeting.  If you are turning in your original form to me, please remember to keep a copy (or give me the copy) for yourself.  Product pick-up will be Saturday, November 15th.

If you chose to do Option #1 (You took popcorn inventory to sell), please remember to bring back all unsold popcorn to the Tuesday, October 21st meeting.  Any popcorn not returned to me that night will be considered sold.  That means you owe the money for it.

These are real deadlines, please comply with them.

I have a very short turn-around time to figure out my final order to Council, and I will need to know how much popcorn I have on hand in order to place my final order.  Also, please bring your money for any popcorn you have sold so I can deposit it.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHOOSE YOUR PRIZE!  If you do not choose a prize based on your selling level, I will choose one for you!

If anyone needs magazine vouchers, I have some on hand.  Also, I have receipts for Military Donations.  If you need vouchers or receipts, please e-mail me at Karlzmom@aol.com
