All Scouts and Adults that will be attending Lost Lake
Summer Camp are required to be at a swim test next Saturday, June 20th
from 8:45 till 10:00 AM. We will be meeting at Brookwood Country Club at
8:45 AM to do our swim test. This will save us tremendous time when we
arrive at camp on Sunday July 5th. Please arrive at the
Brookwood pool by 8:45 AM dressed in your swimsuit and ready to swim as there
may not be changing rooms available. We will have a Red Cross WSI who
will assess our swimming skills and rank each of us as a Non-swimmer, beginner,
or swimmer. For those of you new to the scout test I have listed the
requirements below. This will determine what section of the swim area you
will be allowed to be in at camp. This will be the initial assessment and
there will be opportunities during the week to improve skills and be
retested. We must be completed and out of the Brookwood pool before 10:00
AM. Brookwood is located on the south side on Tienken road, between Livernois
and Brewster. If there is a conflict that cannot be worked around, you
must call Mr. Holloway @ 248-650-6108 or Mr. Verlinde @ 248-651-4031 and let us
know.
