  • Reminder: Leadership Training

As a reminder, all newly elected troop officers, including patrol leaders, are required to attend the Leadership Training session scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at the Brookwood Golf Course clubhouse off Tienken Road. The session should start at 11:00am, immediately following the 'Scouting for Food' event. It should be over by 3:00pm. The boys should be in Class 'B' uniform. Again all newly elected leaders are required to attend. It is also open to any other boys interested in attending who may be looking at running for an office in the future. If interested, please contact Mr. Burlingame or Mr. Scarlatelli so we can get a good count of attendees. Pizza and pop will be provided for lunch.

  • Patrol Leader Council Tuesday, October 27th, Pizza Hut 7 PM

There will be a Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) for all newly elected officers. The meeting will be at the Pizza Hut (on Walton, west of Livernois) at 7 PM and will include dinner.

Senior Patrol Leaders and assistants, Scribes, Quartermasters and Patrol Leaders should plan on attending. If you are a Patrol Leader and can not attend please have your assistant patrol leader attend for you.

The purpose is to plan the meetings, campouts and schedule activities.

  • Popcorn Take order forms due 10/20/09, Show & sell returns also due 10/20/09

    Hello Scouts,

Take order sales are due no later than Tuesday, October 20th.  If you checked out product for show-n-sell and you still have product you haven't sold, it is due back NO LATER THAN Tuesday, October 20th.  If you would like to return product this weekend please call Amy Schuster (248) 408-3605 - I would prefer to receive the popcorn back at my house rather than the Troop Meeting.  If you will not be at the Troop meeting on Tuesday and you have a Take Order Popcorn order form to turn in, please make arrangements to get me the order form this weekend.

Please call if you have any questions!

    Thank you,

    Amy Schuster
  • 2010 Rank Advancement Changes

The new, upcoming rank advancement changes taking effect January 1, 2010 are now posted on our website. As more info becomes available, we will post that also.

  • Potatoes!! Lots of them!!

I have not had any youth volunteers yet to help pick up potatoes for the OPC this Saturday, October 17th. THis is a good service project for boys that need hours. We will meet at 9:30am at Innatech and should be done by around noon. We need to drive up to Oxford United Methodist Church, pick up 1600 pounds of potatoes - yes, that's right, 1600 POUNDS - and deliver them back to OPC. That's a lot of french fries!! If anyone can help, please contact Mr. Scarlatelli or just show up at Innatech. We plan on leaving at 9:30 prompt. Thanks.

  • Action Required: Permission Slips for the 20-mile Hike

Please download the permission slip for the 20-mile hike and bring the parent/guardian signed portion with you Saturday. If the form link is not shown under "Permision Forms" in our T125 website should be under "Most Recent 5 Files Loaded" on the right pane. See you Saturday.

  • Reminder: 20-mile Hike Saturday, October 17, 2009

We will meet at the City of Rochester Municipal Office parking lot where we park cars during Arts and Apples accross the Rochester Police Dept at 7:00am. We will begin the hiking at 7:15am. This is a requirement for the Hiking Merit Badge. For those scouts who have been at Philmont or Appalechian Trail and haven't done the 20-mile hike, this hike is the last requirement for their merit badge. Bring plenty of water and cash to have lunch at Lake Orion. A camel or daypack are adequate. The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy with 31 deg early AM with 47 deg early PM. It will be cold in the morning and we don't expect rain. However, you may pack your rain gear. Please send me an e-mail at vtheodo@gmail.com if you plan to participate so we can make a name list and take roll before leaving. Give my cell phone to your parent(s) so they can contact us in case of emergency or to follow progress in our trail. See you Saturday.

  • The New Troop Schedule is Here!

  • Court of Honor Reminder

    Parents and Scouts:

Hope you are planning to attend the Tuesday October 13th Court of Honor at the Rochester Community House!     Although we've done these on wekends the last couple of years, we want to get the recognition out for the considerable advancement work over the summer.   Parents especially, please come to recognize your son, we've got over 140 merit badges the Scouts have earned and need to be recognized for!   Bring the camera!

We'll start at 7:30 PM, do the Court of Honor, slide show, refreshments, and be done by 9:00 PM.

Scouts - you need to be in Class A uniform . . . . and just like Mom tells you:  stand up, don't slouch, and smile for the camera!

  • October Campout 23rd-25th Murder Mystery

The October campout has been changed to October 23rd - 25th.

The theme will be murder mystery and we will be tenting at Camp Rotary (Ray, Michigan Macomb County). The price will be $15.

Your scout skills and finger printing knowledge (October 6th meeting) will solve the mystery.

We will celebrate the crime solved with Dutch oven pizzas.

  • Troop Meeting Tuesday Oct. 6 - Fingerprinting Merit Badge

The Rochester Police Department will be teaching the Fingerprinting Merit Badge at the Oct. 6th troop meeting. Be sure you are on time as latecomers might not complete the badge. I suggest you prepare by reading the requirements on this web site:

    http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Fingerprinting

Don't forget about the Court of Honor on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the Community House at 7:30 PM. In addition to the presentation of rank badges and merit badges, there will be a super slide show with images from Lost Lake, Philmont, Mackinac, Renaissance Festival, and other outings.
