  • Patrol Meeting Week

This week there will not be a meeting so Patrol's can meet and plan a 5 minute video for next weeks indoor campfire. The video should be about 100 years of scouting. It can be about historical events, impact on scouter's lives, impact on community or just about the fun things scouting does. The troop projector will be available next week to present the video. Patrols having difficulty finding a week night may meet during the technology Lock-in this Friday. Patrols can also begin planning meals for the great cook off on the February campout (February 12-14). Patrols will be buying their own food, preparing and cooking it to compete against other patrols for the top prize.

The Technology Lock-in begins this Friday, January 15th at 6 PM. Scouts may bring any electronic game (G-E or T rating) and/or a musical instrument. The $5 cost will cover Pizza and snacks. Pick-up should be at Saturday at 7 AM.

  • Ski Trip Final Reminders

It's almost time for the big ski trip! Here are some last minute reminders:

    1. Will be very cold on Saturday (4 degrees wind chill) so bring plenty of warm clothing and dress in layers. Remember goggles and helmet.

    2. Try to arrive a little before 6 PM so we can pack your gear in Mini-Me. It's a long drive so we need to leave as close to 6 PM as possible. Drivers line up in center aisle at Innatech.

    3. Wear your class A uniform.

    4. Let Mr. V. know if you want to work on the snowsports MB (skiing).

    5. One snowmobile works and I'm still working on the second one. I can give rides on the camp property.

    6. Don't forget sleeping bag, pillow, and toiletries.

    7. Bryan - bring your guitar and get the troop bugle from Dalton if possible.

    8. Be ready for a great time with great food and great friends!

  • Adult Training Requirements

    All Adults Only-

Just a quick reminder to reiterate what Terry mentioned about the status of our Adult training obligations at last night's committee meeting.

Please review your record on the attached training matrix (see below under "attachment" in red) and provide me with either a date(s) when you completed the respective training or...

Spend a few short hours online and knock out all of the required and supplementary training all in one swoop.  The first 5 adults to complete this task even get a gold star next to their name.  :-)

Seriously though, Council has requested that each troop be 100% in compliance on this as our rechartering is at stake here if we do not...

Should you have any difficulties in accessing the training online, please contact council office (248)338-0035 to get your user name and password.  Otherwise, feel free to call or e-mail me with any other questions or concerns.

Please return any tents out from Fall campouts tonight.

  • Rocketry Information

We are having a Rocketry Campout March 12-14.  Also we will be working on the Space Exploration Merit Badge.

We are offering kits in advance to make it easier and to allow more time to build the kits at home.  To order your kit in advance see below.

We have some pretty cool kits to order.  The rocket engines will be a part of the Rocketry Campout, and are not part of the kits.

Check out the Rocketry Kits <click here>

Fill out the Rocketry Order Form <click here> and return it to Mr. Wilson before January 26th.

We will have some basic kits available for the campout for those who need to wait.

(Space Exploration Merit Badge is not a requirement to shoot rockets on the campout)
